Dr Dylan Rajaratnam

Dr Dylan Rajaratnam is a General Cardiologist.

With a special interest in cardiac imaging, including advanced echocardiography and multimodality imaging to support accurate diagnosis and tailored management of cardiovascular disease. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine from the University of Newcastle in 2018 and has worked across both Sydney Local Health District and South Western Sydney Local Health District. 

Dylan completed his cardiology specialty training at Liverpool Hospital within South Western Sydney and is currently undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), focused on research that advances the clinical application of contemporary cardiac imaging techniques. He has published first-author papers and conference abstracts in peer-reviewed journals and remains actively engaged in clinical research and quality improvement. 

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dylan is dedicated to medical education and mentoring. He holds an Associate Lecturer appointment at the University of New South Wales. 

Dylan has a particular interest in: 

  • Cardiac imaging and structural heart disease assessment 
  • Chest pain evaluation and coronary artery disease 
  • Heart failure diagnosis and longitudinal management 
  • Shortness of breath and exercise intolerance assessment 
  • Syncope and collapse assessment 
  • Preventative cardiology and cardiovascular risk reduction 
  • Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment
