Dr Joseph Assad
Dr Joseph Assad is a consultant cardiologist with an interest in heart rhythm disorders, cardiac devices and heart failure. He obtained his medical degree at Western Sydney University and completed his Cardiology Training at Liverpool Hospital. He went on to undertake a sub-specialty Fellowship in Electrophysiology and Pacing and has a Masters of Internal Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. Currently, he is pursuing a PhD at the University of New South Wales where he is exploring the role of remote monitoring in the management of heart failure.
Apart from his clinical and research work, Joseph is also dedicated to teaching and mentoring junior doctors and medical students. He holds a Conjoint Associate Lecturer position at Western Sydney University and the University of New South Wales.
He holds current appointments at Liverpool Hospital and Sydney South West Private Hospital.
Joseph is highly proficient in the diagnosis and management of all cardiac conditions, with a particular interest in:

- Preventative health and risk factor modification
- Pre-operative cardiac risk assessment
